About Me

I was born and raised in a tiny coastal town in Britain, where the stormy wind smells of salt and the tea in little cafés is always hot and strong. Since childhood, I loved staring at maps, dreaming about countries whose names sounded like music.

After university, I spent a few years working in marketing in London, but concrete walls and endless meetings quickly made it clear — this wasn’t my path. One day, I packed my backpack, bought a one-way ticket, and flew to Iceland. Since then, I’ve been living in the rhythm of the road.

I’ve worked as a hiking instructor in Scotland, a guide through ancient castles in France, and even a barista in a tiny café in New Zealand. But my true calling has always been telling stories. Photographs, scribbled notes, and chance conversations with strangers have become the foundation of my blog swingabroad.

Today, I’m a freelance writer for alle.travel, where I share tour reviews, tips for independent travelers, and routes I’ve personally tested. For me, travel isn’t about ticking boxes — it’s about encounters: with places, with people, and with yourself.

I believe every city hides a story worth hearing. And I’m here to tell those stories — honestly, warmly, and without unnecessary gloss.
